St. Vincent played a new song at the David Lynch Festival and we love her even more now
Sometimes there is nothing sweeter than when our favorites from two worlds combine. Recently, much loved musician St. Vincent played a new song at the David Lynch Festival and our hearts basically exploded. As Julia Edelman reports at Vulture, David Lynch hosted the first part of his Festival of Disruption in L.A. this past Saturday.
According to Pitchfork, all sorts of magic happened: A screening of The Elephant Man, John Malkovich and Mel Brooks both spoke, and none other than St. Vincent gave a musical performance. That’s right Twin Peaks fans: It’s OK to swoon. We did!
St. Vincent played a brand new song as well as hauntingly simple versions of two fan-favorites, “Cruel,” I Prefer Your Love,” and “Stripped Down Love.” Thanks to the wonders of social media, we can check out some videos of her performance first hand.
Unsurprisingly, fans pretty much loved her performance:

Even the musician herself tweeted love to her fans. And what is better than that?
I love David Lynch and I love my team and I loved playing last night.

Personally, we are eagerly awaiting more music from St. Vincent — luckily for us, her new album, titled St. Vincent is available for purchase now! And of course, the return of Twin Peaks! Get ready to get your ’90s grunge on, y’all.
