Spotify just released its all-time most-streamed list, and we honestly don’t think you’ll be surprised

To celebrate the streaming site’s 10th birthday, Spotify recently released a series of all-time top 10 lists. The platform studied internal data to reveal the most-streamed artist, what the most-played track is, and which female artist globally reigns supreme. And honestly, the results probably won’t surprise you.

Drake earned the top spot on Spotify’s “most-streamed artist of all time” list. Drizzy was already named IFPI’s Global Recording Artist of 2016, and he kept his top position with the release of Scorpion earlier this year. His latest album racked up 745.9 million on-demand audio streams, according to Billboard, helping secure Drake’s spot as Spotify’s top dog.

Ed Sheeran, Eminem, The Weeknd, and Rihanna follow, with Kanye West, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, and Ariana Grande rounding out the top 10.

Drake and Sheeran also duked it out for the top slot on Spotify’s “most-streamed songs of all time” list, with Sheeran’s track “Shape Of You” sliding into first. Drake’s “One Dance” came in second, followed by The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s “Closer.” Post Malone feat. 21 Savage’s “rockstar,” Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” and Major Lazer, MØ, and DJ Snake’s “Lean On” also made the grade.

Bieber and the Chainsmokers wrapped up the list with “Despacito – Remix,” “Love Yourself,” “Sorry,” and “Don’t Let Me Down.” (Did you notice the lack of female artists? Yeah, we did too.)

Again, Sheeran and Drake were neck and neck on Spotify’s “most-streamed albums globally” list. Sheeran’s Divide was number one, Bieber’s Purpose scored second, and Drake’s Views was third. Post Malone, The Weeknd, and Kendrick Lamar finished out the category.

Spotify found that Rihanna is the most-streamed female artist on the platform to-date. She’s followed by Ariana Grande and Sia in the second and third spots. Beyoncé took fourth, and Nicki Minaj fifth. Adele, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Shakira rounded off the list.

Per Billboard, Spotify reports that it has roughly 180 million monthly active listeners, each of whom has contributed to these most-streamed lists.

Will these artists continue to reign supreme over the coming year? Only time will tell.
