A Spice Girls reunion tour IS HAPPENING

Rumors of a Spice Girls reunion tour have been in the air for years now – pretty much since they came together again briefly during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Recently, there was even talk of them touring with the Backstreet Boys, which made every ’90s girl to begin screaming like they were 13 years old again (guilty).

If you were with us in the group of screamers, we hope your pipes have simmered down by now, because our day has come: The. Spice. Girls. Are. Reuniting. For. Another. Tour. SDLKFJLS:DKFJL:DFJLS:DKJ!!!

Now that THAT’S out of our system, here are more tidbits about the tour, which will celebrate 20 years since the release on the Spice Girls’ breakout album, Spice. Here’s what a source, who spoke to Us Weekly, has to tell us about the tour:

1. It’s apparently been in the works for a year.
“The girls have long been keen to do a major reunion tour together,” the source added.

2. Womp-womp, a member will be missing.
Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, AKA THE fashion icon of the past 20 years, won’t be joining the tour. (But all other Spice Girls will be on.)

3. BUT! There’s still some hope Posh may join.
According to another Us Weekly source, the girls are trying to change Posh’s mind. The first source also notes that while Beckham won’t sing or dance, “There’s a small chance she’ll film something with them or make an appearance at a show here and there.”

SO THERE’S A CHANCE. Honestly, she could just show up and do her own thing and we’d still cry tears of joy. Victoria always did sort of pave her own way anyway, and we love her for it.

Here’s the one thing: The girls themselves haven’t confirmed or denied a tour at this time, though the sources have said it will go on with or without Victoria (WITH, PLEASE, COME ON POSH!), but this news is good enough for us. Now to start speculating about when tickets will go on sale so we can take the entire week off work to prepare, actually get the tickets, and celebrate.
