The Spice Girls *might* be planning a reality show and we’re desperate to take part

Last week, the world remembered all things Spice and very nice as the Spice Girls’ debut single, “Wannabe,” celebrated its 20th birthday. We practically spent the last seven days dusting off our platform shoes, hunting down our Spice World VHS tapes and singing all the lyrics to their songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
Not only that, however, but on Friday morning three of the bandmates announced that they were returning as a three-piece called GEM.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, Geri Halliwell née Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton seemingly revealed that they were reuniting to celebrate this momentous occasion with a GIANT PARTY! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
If that bit of Spice info wasn’t enough, the band’s longtime collaborator and the co-writer for many of their hits, Eliot Kennedy, told British breakfast show, Good Morning Britain, that he’d been in the recording studio with Geri, Emma and Mel B.
“We wrote a brilliant song and the energy was exactly like it was 20 years ago,” he said. “Just as enthusiastic, just as much to say, just as much to celebrate.”
Eek! This makes us SO excited.
Yet, there’s more…According to a report in UK magazine Heat, Geri, Emma and Mel B are planning their own American Idol-style reality show to find two new members to joint the band. Does this means our lifelong dreams of becoming members of the Spice Girls could actually come true? *Sings “Viva Forever” while looking in the mirror.*
Well, at the moment nothing has been confirmed by the girls, but given that all three have judged on a reality talent show at some point in their careers, we’d say that they were pretty qualified for the jobs.
Unfortunately, it seems that Victoria and Mel C won’t he taking part in the Spice Girls reunion at this stage. While we would have loved all five girls to reunite, we do totally understand that they might have other things planned.
Now we just need to start practicing our audition…
