Mel B basically confirmed that the Spice Girls will perform at the royal wedding, and stop right now!

While we’re not yet 100% sure if they’ll be attending as guests or performers, Mel B confirmed that the Spice Girls were invited to the royal wedding. As many children of the ’90s will recall, Prince Harry was a big Spice Girls fan, so it wouldn’t be the craziest idea if the ladies were asked to sing…especially since a Spice Girls reunion has officially been confirmed.
Mel B admitted that all of the girls got formal invitations while chatting about the wedding on The Real.
"I don't know if I should have said that live on camera," Mel B admitted after seeing the reaction from the crowd.
She seemed hesitant to give any concrete details, including what the invite looked like, and became even more coy when asked if Prince Harry and Markle booked the Spice Girls to perform.
"I need to go! I am going to be fired!" Mel B said (jokingly?).
OMG. This looks highly suspicious (in the best way possible). Back in September, Emma Bunton — aka Baby Spice — posted a #tbt in which she’s hugging Prince Harry, and based on their expressions, it’s quite obvious that she would perform at his wedding in a heartbeat.
While the group has yet to confirm the news as a whole, we officially won’t be surprised if Prince Harry and Markle end up slow dancing to a live rendition of “2 Become 1.”
However, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s remember that a lot of unsubstantiated rumors are swirling. Ed Sheeran was rumored to be the royal wedding’s musical guest at one point, but that’s since been debunked: he’s scheduled to play a show in Ireland on May 19th, which is the day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will say “I Do.”
So for the time being, we’ll just have to wait patiently until there’s an official confirmation. Fingers crossed, guys.
