Enjoy this throwback to the first ever “Harry Potter” premiere and try not to feel old AF

Today is the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone hitting bookstore shelves, which is pretty unbelievable. For two decades, we’ve been immersed in this magical world, and we don’t see ourselves stopping the rereads anytime soon.

But 15 and a half years ago, we were introduced to another big HP element: the trio cast of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the movie, who would forever capture our hearts for the 10 years they played Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Just look at baby Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson at the film’s world premiere in London in November 2001.

Emma and Zoë Wanamaker, because even though Hermione can’t throw a Quaffle to save her life, she and Madam Hooch are still BFFs IRL.

We can’t forget about bb Tom Felton, who will forever be Draco Malfoy in our hearts.

Or our favorite twins, next to Mary-Kate and Ashley and the Carter twins.

The late and great Richard Griffiths, whose portrayal of Mr. Dursley we loved just as much as we loathed the character.

The also dearly missed Richard Harris, who played Dumbledore with every bit of twinkle in his eye that the novels described.

Here’s Kenneth Branagh, the year before he made his debut in the series as Gilderoy Lockhart.

Warwick Davis, whose wildly different Professor Flitwick and Griphook portrayals honestly made us forget these characters were played by the same person.

And of course, the queen herself, J.K. Rowling — both with the cast and Neil Murray, whom she married the next month.

And just in case that isn’t a big enough dose of nostalgia, here’s the too-adorable first screen test from the trio. Of course, Emma owns it.

We can’t believe it’s been over a decade and a half since this movie premiered, or that it’s been almost six years since the last installment premiered. If these photos tell us anything, it’s that we’re about due for a re-watch and reread.

Happy birthday, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone! We’ve been privileged to know you these past two decades.
