Sophie Turner is Boy George’s top pick to play the singer in his biopic, and just send us tickets now
The Queen in the North could become the frontman of Culture Club. According to Boy George himself, he’s toying around with the idea of Sophie Turner playing him in an upcoming biopic. And, yes. Yes times a million. Yes to infinity. Mail us our tickets because we’re in.
Word on the street is that Sacha Gervasi, director of My Dinner With Hervé and Hitchcock, is currently developing a Boy George (whose real name is George Alan O’Dowd) biopic in the wake of Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman. And while it’s still an idea waiting to mature, George is adding his two cents about who he thinks should star as him.
"There’s been some really interesting suggestions," George told the hosts of Australia's Fitzy and Wippa radio show. "One of the most interesting suggestions was Sophie Turner. [People will say] ‘she can’t play you, she’s a woman,’ you know. But when I was 17, I would have loved to have been her."
True. Wouldn’t we all?
Turner has already sent in her RSVP. The actress tweeted “I’m SO down” on June 17th.

Turner and George are pretty much twins, now that we think about it. So…let’s make it happen, people.
How did we all not see this earlier? I feel like this is something we didn't know we needed! You were meant to play this role!!

But hey. If it doesn’t end up happening, at least Turner and husband Joe Jonas have a great Halloween costume idea for next year.
In case you don’t get cast at least you know what your next Halloween costume should be!😂 Joe can go as Jon Moss (Boy George’s ex)😂 pic.twitter.com/pY8LCjwXDj

We’ll keep our eyes on the horizon for any word that this casting choice has been locked and loaded. Our fingers are crossed.
