Sophie Turner has admitted that there are downsides to her relationship with Joe Jonas
While she might be all loved up at the moment, Sophie Turner has admitted that there are downsides to her relationship with Joe Jonas, and what she says makes a lot of sense.
The Game of Thrones star graces the cover of this month’s Marie Claire, in which she speaks about her relationship with the DNCE and former Jonas Brothers singer. The pair usually keep details about their romance pretty private, but Turner got candid in the magazine about losing anonymity with fame and how it feels to date someone in the public eye.
"You do feel like you're living in a fishbowl," she shared. "It’s frustrating [that] it’s the most mundane things that make the news – how boring! There are really no other headlines?"
Despite the unwanted press attention, the actor said that she was “very happy” (aww). However, she wasn’t too keen on their ship name “Jophie.” Rather, she prefers the fan name for her and her BFF Maisie Williams, “Mophie” (double aww).
In the interview, Turner also spoke about how she hates when people try to take sneaky photos of her on their phone when they see her in public.
“I find it really rude, and I will be rude back. It’s such an invasion of privacy. I could be out with my mum on her birthday and I will ask them to delete it,” she said. “I would much rather them come up and ask for a photo. I will probably be fine with it…unless I look shit!”
Earlier this week, Turner opened up about how her relationships with Joe and with friends have helped push her out of her comfort zone.
“I’m happier than I’ve been in a very long time…I very much isolated myself for a while and forgot what was fun. Going out with friends, going out to eat, not really having a care,” she explained to The Sunday Times.
All that matters is that Sophie is happy, and it seems that despite the unwanted press attention, she is with her current relationship.
Meanwhile, Turner, along with the rest of her GoT cast mates, are prepping for the show’s seventh season premiere. The hit fantasy drama is set to return to HBO on July 16th (that’s next Sunday, fyi!).
