Sophia Bush underwent a hair transformation in honor of Pride Month
Some seriously fierce fashion emerges at Pride festivals — and the Los Angeles Pride parade that took place on Sunday was no exception. Sophia Bush’s rainbow ponytail turned her into an LGBTQ unicorn fairy mermaid princess, and we’re absolutely loving it.
Pride Month happens every year in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. Cities across the U.S. participate in parades and festivals, celebrating LGBTQ communities, and serving as a reminder that we still have a lot of work to do to ensure equality for all.
The fight for equality is a serious one, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a great time with it.
Bush’s rainbow hair is the epitome of a good time, and just one of many, many unique and crazy fun hairstyles we’ve seen so far.
Bush posted a series of photos and videos to Instagram documenting the making of her gorgeous hair. “#MyLittlePridePony, a hair story featuring yours truly, created by @chadwoodhair,” she wrote. “Happy Pride my loves! ❤️ #PRIDE #LoveIsLoveIsLove #Equality”
Her rainbow glitter weave, as she eloquently referred to it, was done by celebrity hairstylist Chad Wood. Bush OWNED her My Little Pony-tail.
“The gays, the girls, the queens, the QUEEN,” she captioned another pic from the day. “Happy Pride fam! From this #MyLittlePridePony to all of you and yours (rainbow glitter weave courtesy the master @chadwoodhair)”
Pride Month continues throughout June, with the NYC parade coming up on the 25th, and we can’t wait to see all the fashion that will transpire.
