Someone traced the actual wand in these vintage Disney Channel ads and it’s so, so weird
Someone traced out the wand movements in old Disney Channel commercials and the result is so weird. Seriously, this is something we never thought we’d see, but now we can’t un-see it.
Remember when you were a kid obsessed with the Disney Channel? Every time you’d tune into your favorite show there would be a star waving a magical wand. Then it would create the Disney mouse logo on the screen in a pretty color, right? Yes!
We all remember these sassy and cute logo skits that were on the Disney Channel as commercial breaks. What you might not have thought about, is what those ads would look like with the real wand movements.
Yes, some Disney fan took the time to trace where the wand actually moved in some of those ads and now the commercials are SO awkward.
Fun fact: the network still has its stars do the Mickey ears wand ad, but it looks nothing like this bizarre video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSuEmqujZiM
In the video, you actually see — using a green line — what the strange arm movements each actor and actress did would make. Spoiler, it doesn’t look like those iconic ears.
Instead, it shows stars like Hilary Duff and Raven-Symone making odd shapes by waving their hands in wild patterns.
That’s So Raven star, Anneliese van der Pol’s creation looks like a dinosaur at the end, not a mouse!
The bloopers from all these actors trying to make the mouse ears is so funny that we can’t stop watching it.
Sadly, they all epically fail to make the magic wand shape, but we’ll cut them some slack, since they couldn’t see what they were doing.
