Solange’s new album is here, and there are already so many memes about how good it is

The world of music is doing a lot for us today, March 1st. The Jonas Brothers officially reunited. Weezer joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for an epic rendition of “Take On Me.” And Solange dropped her latest albumWhen I Get Home…and we’ll never quite be the same. Featuring contributions from fellow creative geniuses like Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, Gucci Mane, Pharrell, Panda Bear, Dev Hynes, Playboi Carti, Cassie, and Sampha, Solange has brought us a jazzy R&B music compilation of 19 tracks (including six interludes). It’s chill, groovy, and probably going to be the soundtrack of our spring.

When I Get Home is the followup album to Solange’s 2016 internet-breaking A Seat At The Table. So, needless to say, we were stoked to see what the 2018 Harvard Foundation Artist of the Year was going to serve us next.

Cue the freak-out montage.

The album, which was originally slated to come out in fall 2018, has “a lot of jazz at the core,” as Solange told The New York Timesback in October. “But with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.” We don’t know about you guys, but our trunk is rattling.

You must—you must—take a listen to Solange’s When I Get Home in its entirety. The album is available on both Spotify and Apple Music.

Okay, we’d love to stay and fangirl even more, but we have a Solange album to listen to for the 20th time.
