So many celebrities have reacted to George Michael’s death, and our hearts go out

2016 has already seen the loss of so many tremendous talents, so it was with extremely heavy hearts that we learned pop icon George Michael passed away at 53 yesterday. And so many celebrities have reacted to George Michael’s death since it was announced, reminding us of the huge impact he had on so many other creative people.
In case you missed the news, a statement was released by Michael’s rep yesterday evening (December 25th), which read:
"It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage."
The New York Times reported that Michael’s death was “unexpected, but not suspicious.” Since then, SO many fans have shared their sadness and condolences.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the outpouring of love and sadness since the announcement of Michael’s passing. He was an iconic musician, as well as a champion of LGBT rights — and he is gone far too soon.
