HBO has spoken: Jon Snow is dead (But we’re not convinced)
The Season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones is just over two weeks away. Earlier today, HBO released a press release for the first episode back, titled, “The Red Woman.” And well, the description for the episode doesn’t sound too promising for our favorite is-he-or-isn’t-he-dead Jon Snow.
Having trouble picking out the part about Jon Snow? Here it is again, highlighted:
So… what does this mean? Well, duh, Jon Snow is dead. BUT OK IS HE REALLY? This has been the ongoing back-and-forth for the last nine months. Last we saw Jon he sure looked dead. But then he was spotted, multiple times, in close proximity to the Game of Thrones set, begging the question IF he could still be alive. HBO wouldn’t really kill off one of the series’ main stars just like that… would they?
Well, yeah, probably. This is Game of Thrones, after all. However, don’t go ignoring the fact that the episode is titled, “The Red Woman,” and that is 100% Melisandre, who just happened to depart for the Wall, and arrive, shortly before the end of Season 5, and that’s just where Jon Snow happens to be, 100% dead.
While Jon Snow might be confirmed dead now, he might not be confirmed dead forever.
