Robert Pattinson has the sneakiest method for avoiding paparazzi

We’ve heard stories about celebrities battling with paparazzi before, but this actor found a very creative way to deal with the photographers. Robert Pattinson avoided paparazzi during Twilight by hiding in car trunks. Come again?
In an interview with GQ, he revealed that he’d often trade clothes with his friends to confuse photographers, and then they’d all get into multiple Uber cars so the paparazzi wouldn’t know which car Pattinson was in. And when things got really dicey, he would choose to ride in the trunk of the car to ensure he wasn’t being snapped in pictures.
Even though that sounds super uncomfortable, it’s kinda a badass move (though definitely not safe and DO NOT try at home!).
Pattinson also revealed that there was a time when he had rental cars hidden in five different parking lots around the city each containing a change of clothes, so if the pap were getting too intense he could duck into one of the lots and leave in an entirely different car. That’s some Jason Bourne shenanigans right there!
"There are ways to disappear, like, fairly easily," he said. "But you have to be living a quite strange life. It just involves effort, and most people can’t really be bothered to put the effort in."
We can’t imagine how exhausting that kind of life must be for someone in the public eye, and we genuinely are so sorry that Pattinson ever had to spend any of his time or life even thinking about this kind of thing. He seems to have a super good attitude about everything though, and somehow even sounds super grounded.
Keep it up, Robert! And in the meantime, maybe think about doing a spy movie? You clearly have the skillz.
