6 must-have snacks that will make your bestie wine night even BETTER
Remember how fun sleepovers were as a kid? Remember how fun raiding the fridge at midnight was?
Well, here are five of those old-school treats that have gotten a grown-up makeover – and we’re loving the look. Basically, what we’re saying is that you should stock up on these snacks the next time you have your bestie over for girl talk.
1. Tandoori Nachos
What the what.
We love food mashups. Like ramen burgers and sushirritos (sushi burritos). Like in much of life, diversity is a good thing here. The same holds true for this awesome recipe featuring tandoori chicken and ooey gooey homemade queso.
2. Double Dark Chocolate Coconut Macaroon Tarte
This no-bake dessert is vegan, gluten-free, and not terribly intimidating to make. The recipe says you require a food processor to make the crust, but if you don’t have that gadget, you can just roughly chop all the ingredients. You’re also going to need to allow three hours freezing time, FYI.
3. Wine Ice Cream
NY-based company Mercer’s Dairy took breakups to a whole new level when they debuted this. Wine + ice cream? Yes please.
Their ice cream contains about 5% alcohol – just enough to smooth out the edges of that relationship you’re so over (or that interminable week that’s not).
Of course, this is also perfect for a regular old girlfriend hang. Bowls optional. Sweatpants mandatory.
4. Rummy Bears (Gummy Bears Soaked in Rum)

Affectionately referred to as “candy for moms,” these bears are the perfect mix of nostalgia and adult fun (that’s still PG). Careful, they can pack a punch.
The recipe is pretty simple: gummy bears, soaked in a whole bunch of rum (or vodka, or whatever spirit you choose). The tutorial above gets a little fancy by combining a couple liquors. Let your imagination run wild! Just make sure it has a DD to get back home.
5. Vegan Buffalo Chickpea Pizza with Celery Ranch
Ohmigosh. This pizza is like that guy who was hot in high school and somehow got even hotter at the reunion. This classic just got all grown-up and groomed, and we’re digging it.
6. Amaretto-Spiked Hot Chocolate

Yaas. How do you spell “cozy?”
Apparently, it starts with “ahm” and ends with “aretto hot chocolate.”
We highly recommend amaretto in this drink – but of course, if you don’t have it, you can add a shot of Bailey’s, rum, or whiskey. (Or, ya know, whatever feels right.)
