Stop everything, this “campfire s’mores” hot chocolate is #drinkgoals

Now that we’re well into winter, we can’t help but long for those summer nights around a campfire with your besties, sharing stories and toasting marshmallows.

But alas, it’s still January, and we’re stuck inside fighting against the cold. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a campfire foodie experience. It just means you have to get creative!

This Campfire S’mores Hot Chocolate recipe might be the best s’more experience ever. It’s honestly the must-have hot chocolate of the season. It’s like the best part of winter and the best part of summer melted together in a gooey, satisfying beverage.

Who says you can’t have it all? There’s s’more than one way to make a s’more. (Sorry we had to!)

S’mores Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup vanilla creamer
3/4 cup milk chocolate pieces (melted)
1/4 cup dark chocolate pieces (melted)
1/2 cup graham crackers (about 4 pieces) (crushed)
1 large marshmallow for topping (bonus if you can find fun shapes!)

Directions:

Heat milk and creamer in a small saucepan over medium heat.
While milk and cream are warming, melt the milk chocolate in a small bowl and dip the rim of the mug into the chocolate.
Pour the crushed graham crackers into another bowl and dip the chocolate-covered rim into the graham crackers.
Place the mug in the freezer to harden the chocolate.

Pour the remaining chocolate from the previous step into the saucepan with the milk and creamer.
Melt the dark chocolate and add that in as well.
Stir to combine.
When chocolates are totally combined, remove from heat.

Remove mug from freezer and pour in hot chocolate.
Place marshmallow on top and lightly toast with a butane torch.
Drink and enjoy!
