Amy Poehler’s ‘Smart Girls’ is asking for better red-carpet questions, and celebs are giving awesome suggestions
We’re big fans of Amy Poehler’s ‘Smart Girls’ and we’re big fans of the campaign #askhermore which demands that women be asked more on the red carpet than “Can you tell us about your dress/jewelry/manicure?” so of course we love Smart Girls starting their own “Ask women awesome red carpet questions” movement. Today is the Emmys, and Smart Girls is asking the internet to tweet their thoughtful and cool questions for celebs under the hashtag #smartgirlsask. Smart Girls is partnering with Twitter and the Television Academy to get some of their fave questions from this hashtag asked on the Emmys red carpet tonight.
Here’s where things get really rad- a bunch of celeb smart girls have jumped in to tweet their #smartgirlsask questions and they’re GREAT. Here are some of our fave tweets/q’s:
We can’t wait to see all the smart questions that are asked on the red carpet tonight, and we are super-grateful to Smart Girls for elevating the conversation. And if you have a great question, make sure to post it up on Twitter using the hashtag #SmartGirlsAsk
