Skylar Astin just showed off his engagement ring because, yeah, guys can have them too

Is there anything more aca-adorable than two Pitch Perfect stars getting hitched? That’s what we were saying earlier this month when we found out that Skylar Astin (Jesse) and Anna Camp (Aubrey) got engaged after about a year and a half of dating.

“I asked. She said yes!!!” Skylar wrote an Instagram caption of the two flaunting off Anna’s ring.

And if you can’t totally see that rock up close, it’s pretty gorgeous. Anna gave us a close-up a week ago, writing, “Still on cloud 9.”

But Anna’s not the only one who gets to show off some bling in the name of love. The couple thinks that guys should get an engagement ring, too — after all, it’s kind of an outdated concept to stamp a ring on a woman as a way to say “she’s mine, fellas” and not vice versa. That’s exactly why Anna bought Skylar a ring, too, and we love it.

“It always felt odd to me that men didn’t get engagement rings,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram showing off his new ring — a braided band. “Thankfully, my fiancé thought so too.”

The cuteness makes us want to sing, Pitch Perfect style. We’re so happy for these two lovebirds who are already starting on their happily-ever-after. . . and we can SO get behind this engagement rings for men trend.
