The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” cast reunited to celebrate America Ferrera’s baby on the way
The cast of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants has reunited often over the years, bringing us so much joy each time. Like, for all us ladies who ~thrived~ in the mid-2000s, these reunions are the actual best. But wait, it gets better: No joke, America Ferrera, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn may have just had one of their *greatest* reunions yet.
Over the holiday weekend, Ferrera and hubby Ryan Piers Williams revealed they’re expecting! And obviously, her sisterhood showed up to support her. Ferrera — who played Carmen, alongside Lively’s Bridget, Bledel’s Lena, and Tamblyn’s Tibby in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies — posted a photo of the four (five, if you count baby!) appearing ecstatic about the good news.
But Ferrera didn’t stop there!
Not only did she get us so incredibly excited about what amazing honorary aunts her former co-stars will surely be to her first child, she also shared an inspiring and hopeful message.
"Starting the New Year off with blessings from my Sisterhood," Ferrera wrote. "We've got work to do for the next generation. Let's get to it. #TIMESUP"
By #TIMESUP, Ferrera is referring to a new initiative launched by some of Hollywood’s most powerful ladies — including herself, Reese Witherspoon, Eva Longoria, and Kerry Washington — to put an end to systemic sexual harassment, following the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct that have recently come to light.
There are, of course, plenty of reasons to make sure that time is finally up for these sexual harassers, and we’re adding “doing right by the next generation, including Ferrera’s baby on the way” to the list — just like her famous Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants aunts, surely.
