Sienna Miller’s ponytail at the Golden Globes gave us Brigitte Bardot vibes
As the biggest and brightest stars of TV and film gathered for the 74th Annual Golden Globes, all eyes were on the red carpet fashion choices. Sienna Miller’s ponytail hairstyle caught everyone’s attention. The star, who was on hand to present last night, went for a soft retro look. It just goes to show that when you go old school with a classic updo, you can’t ever go wrong.
The 35-year-old actress arrived on the Golden Globes red carpet wearing an elegant white gown from the Michael Kors Collection. Her classic gown stood out among the stars who chose more bright and bold colors.
The dress showed off her toned abs with side cut-outs, but choosing to pair this modern look with a retro hairdo is nothing short of genius.
Miller’s beauty team put her blond highlight hair up into a high ponytail as if it was straight out of the ’60s! They tied her hair using a black ribbon, which may not have been the obvious choice for red carpet looks, but it works!
She kept her makeup simple with black winged liner and a nude lip. Her choice of large neck pearls just solidified the era she was finding inspiration from. She pulled the whole look off with perfection.
Celebrity makeup artist, Kate Lee, who has been working with Miller for 15 years told POPSUGAR that her entire Golden Globes look was inspired by two major stars from the past.
"Sienna's Look for the Golden Globes 2017 was inspired by Brigitte Bardot and Jean Seberg and that very specific brand of beauty that was born of the 1960s," she said.
"Beautiful, classic, but effortless. We took what we wanted from the references and then made it our own. It was a collaborative process which included Sienna, myself, and Earl Simms, who is her long time hairdresser."
There is no question Miller pulled off the look she was going for! We wouldn’t be surprised if we see that ponytail ribbon trend pick up this year.
