Sia just got her first number one song with “Cheap Thrills,” and it’s obviously about time this happened

Who knows why this didn’t happen sooner, but Sia just got her first number one song with “Cheap Thrills” and we couldn’t be more excited. Pardon us for asking, but what took so damn long? Anyway, let’s shift our Bitter Betty attitudes to the side because it’s time to celebrate! Our favorite wig-loving singer finally landed at the top of the Billboard 100 charts with her catchy anthem, bringing an end to the 10-week reign of Drake’s “One Dance.” In case you missed it, “Cheap Thrills” was originally written for Rihanna and is featured on the recently released Sia Snapchat filter.

Much like Sia’s entire musical catalog, “Cheap Thrills” is the perfect song to lift your spirits and invoke your inner superhero. Most importantly, though, it will inspire you to shamelessly yell-sing the lyrics whenever, wherever.
If this doesn’t happen to you while you’re singing a Sia song, you’re doing it all wrong.
Sia previously topped the Billboard charts as a writer for Rihanna’s 2012 hit “Diamonds,” but she’s so giddy over her #1 record that she celebrated on Twitter by announcing new dates for her Nostalgic For the Present tour, which will feature her favorite music video co-star, Maddie Ziegler.

YAS! Everyone knows Sia and Maddie make the perfect team and we can’t wait to see them hit the stage together.
