Aromatherapy “Focus” Eucalyptus and Tea Body Lotion, $13.50

Bath & Body Works

I have been thoroughly enjoying Bath & Body Works’ Aromatherapy collection, which comes in different moods/emotional needs. “Focus,” which is a blend of eucalyptus and tea, truly does make my brain perk up, and has been my fave as of late. I keep a bottle at my desk at work.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara, $10

I have recently discovered that expensive mascaras are bullshit (that discovery does not hold me back from buying them, but still). I’m so passionate about this newfound realization, I might just write a think piece about it for HelloGiggles, so keep your eyes peeled. Anyway. We have piles and piles of L’Oreal products at HGHQ, and I’m lucky enough to get to try a bunch of them for videos for our social video brand, The Pretty. This one really impressed me, though. It thickens your lashes, while also elongating them, sans clumping. It’s now my go-to and it’s just under ten bucks.

Scotch & Soda Knitted Tassel Sweater, $148

Scotch & Soda

This tassel sweater is so fun! I for one am not sick of my basic cable knits and cardigans, but my wardrobe could use a little pop of whimsy. Tassel sweater from Scotch and Soda it is.

Summersalt Swimsuits, $95

I know, I know, swimsuits in fall? Allow me to explain. As a SoCal girl, September is actually prime bathing suit buying time for me, because I still have months of pool time ahead. My biggest gripe with swimsuit shopping is that the ones I like always end up costing hundreds of dollars. There are a few rare brands out there that manage to be flattering, well-made and reasonably-priced. Luckily, I recently discovered Summersalt. They’ve got high-end styles that are Instagram gold, and here’s the cherry on top of a sprinkle sundae: nothing is over $95. Today they’re launching their “Try-At-Home” packs, so you can test drive a selection of pretty suits before committing to buying. For now these packs are invite-only, but you can shop Summersalt’s entire collection on their website. I’m personally a huge fan of the “Swan Dive” style and “The Plunge” one-piece. I’ve got a beach trip planned this weekend, so now all I need is a big bottle of SPF and a pack of canned rosé and I’m set.

A’PIEU Watermelon Slice Sheet Mask, $12.20

If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for cute packaging. So right off the bat, this watermelon sheet mask had my heart. BUT! It’s more than pretty packaging. This baby works. Just peel off the watermelon “slices” and stick ‘em all over your face (the back of the packaging shows a drawing of a leg, too, but I just did my face). I left them on for half an episode of “American Vandal” (are you watching? It’s amazing), and afterwards my skin felt hydrated and like life was breathed into it. The sheet masks also come in orange and lemon slices, but I’m always partial to anything watermelon-themed.

David Lerner Long Sleeve Front Snap Top, $75

David Lerner

I have a lot of prints and patterns in my closet, but I’m in desperate need of some great layering pieces, like this snap front henley from David Lerner. I just realized I don’t own a single long-sleeve black top! I’ve got to remedy that.
