Shhh Silk x the Beverly Hills Hotel Palm PJs, $290
Shhh Silk and the Beverly Hills Hotel teamed up to create a line of fabulous silk pajamas and sleep accessories in the hotel’s iconic palm print, and I’m personally VERY excited about this collab. I’m a huge fan of Shhh Silk (I wear their sleep masks to bed every single night; can’t sleep without ‘em) and I love anything palm print. I was lucky enough to go to the launch event last night at the Beverly Hills Hotel and try this silk sleep set firsthand. Clearly these pajamas are the height of glamour, but what you might not realize is that even though they are silk, they’re machine washable! Low maintenance for the high maintenance girl, like myself. I wore this set to bed last night, along with the matching sleep mask, and I felt like I was going to sleep in a Wes Anderson movie. I’m not joking when I say I had, hands down, the best beauty sleep I’ve had all month.
Thesis Mermaid’s Cheek Facial Mask, $22.95
Currently I have a constellation of tiny pimples around my chin—an area where I don’t typically break out—so I knew I needed to bring in the big guns. BUT, I also have very sensitive skin, so I needed something soothing and organic. That’s why I’m obsessed with Thesis’s “Mermaid’s Cheek” (that name, though!). It’s an all-natural seaweed face mask that comes in a powder (it kind of looks like a bottle of seasoning). You mix it with a liquid and it forms into a paste that you apply as a mask. What I love about this face mask that you can mix it with plain spring water OR zest it up a bit with an herbal tea or soy milk. The result? Bright, fresh, mermaid-y skin.
Cuyana Lock Shoulder Bag, $350
I’m swooning over this luxurious shoulder bag from Cuyana. It’s so refined, and looks like it would go with every outfit I own.
“The Girlboss Workbook: An Interactive Journal for Winning at Life,” by Sophia Amoruso, $9.62
From the lady who knows how to be a #boss, Sophia Amoruso has come out with a Girlboss workbook, and it’s hugely helpful. I have my dream job here at HelloGiggles, but as someone who stumbled and fell her first year after college (and then applied to grad school out of exasperation after the 20th interview for a job that had nothing to do with what she studied in school), I know this book would have been a savior for 21-year-old me. Even if you’re mid-career and looking to make a change, get this book. It will guide you through the job application process, to the interview, to the after-the-interview-omg-did-I-do-everything-right-why-are-they-not-calling-me part.
Rag & Bone Gingham Shorts, $79 (was $175)
Maybe you’re all, “Shorts? In late October? Who gave you the audacity to recommend SHORTS?” Guys. I know. But hear me out: My favorite look this fall is shorts and tights. Pair this gingham pair (by Rag & Bone, on sale!) with black tights, plain white tee and cardigan, and voila. A fresh look.
Hansel From Basel Pounce Crew Socks, $28
Um, there is a cat on these socks. Need I say more?
