H&M Popcorn Tee, $10
With the last name “Popp,” I try to embrace all the puns that come with my namesake. This popcorn crop top with the phrase “Pop it real good” might just have to become my new uniform.
Patchology Eye Revive FlashPatch, $15
My #1 beauty battle is under eye circles, so naturally I love a good under eye patch. My dark circles are caused by my narrow face shape and fair complexion (genetics, y’all), and so I need a product like Patchology’s patches that has ingredients like hydrolyzed collagen and caffeine in it. It helps to brighten and revitalize the the skin directly under my eyes. But my favorite thing about Patchology is that their patches actually stay put. My biggest gripe with under eye patches is that they slip and slide all over the place. But these didn’t budge a bit. I was able to Swiffer my living room while wearing them—which involves a lot of bending over and moving around. These passed the test!
Guerlain Rouge G Jewel Lipstick Compact, $37.88 on Jet.com
When it come to lipstick formulas, you just CANNOT beat this one. I first discovered Guerlain lipstick years ago when I lived in New York City, and I loved it because I would always do a quick teeth check in the mirror compact case during cab rides. And when I used it down to a nub, I mourned its loss for days. I recently test-drove the “Gabrielle 60” shade, and it is one of those goes-with-every-single-outfit colors. It’s a luxury lipstick with a price tag to match, but it is entirely worth it. The formula is made with ruby powder that interacts with the light for a resplendent effect. Whenever I pull it out of my cosmetic bag, I feel instantly fancy.
Réalisation Red Star Dress, $195
This might be the most perfect example of the “date dress” I’ve ever seen.
JetBlue Vacations’ Office Scents Last Bagel Scented Candle, $15
This candle is called the “Last Bagel,” which might be my favorite name for a candle ever. It’s available on JetBlue’s website (of all places), as a part of their quirky Office Souvenir collection, meant to inspire you to get outta the office and book a vacay.
Dasani 8-Count Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade, $14
There’s a lot of high-brow sparkling water brands out there, but my absolute favorite is a good old grocery standby: Dasani. I buy these babies in such bulk, I have a hard time wheeling my shopping cart out of the store because it’s so heavy with boxes and boxes of Dasani Sparkling.
