Welcome to Want/Need, a daily roundup of the things our Deputy Editor, Emily Popp, is currently coveting. It might be a pair of pink leather loafers that make her feel like she’s got her s*#t together, or a pool float in the shape of an avocado (because she’s not over the novelty pool float trend). Or maybe it’s as random as, like, dryer sheets. Basically this is all the stuff she’s obsessed with. Poppy’s picks, if you will.

The Apollo Box

Look, you can be a perfectly functioning adult making it in this world and not be able to keep a plant alive. I’m proof! I like to think I have my “S” somewhat together, but whenever I go out and fill my apartment with plants, my place is a graveyard of leaves within days. I even kill succulents that hardly need any care! That’s why I love this sweet little faux cactus from Apollo Box. It adds some greenery to my living room, but without any hassle of having to water the dang thing!

Ooo, I am a die-hard Cup Noodles fan. I’ve even been to the official Cup Noodles museum in Osaka, Japan. Yes, that actually exists. Granted, I didn’t make the 14-hour flight just for that…my brother lives in Japan, but still—I think I’ve proven my devotion to the instant soup. I only want to drink my coffee out of this Cup Noodles mug from this day forward.

This is my go-to during busy weeks when I don’t have time to factor the whole “washing your hair” situation into my life.

See above. So yeah, it’s been a week of not having time to blow out my hair, which means: enter the scrunchie. I prefer a statement scrunchie to a regular hair tie because it doesn’t leave a crease in my hair, and it’s less likely to give me the dreaded “ponytail headache.”
