Classic watersport apparel company Body Glove has debuted their new Throwback ’80s collection and it is totally radical, dude.
Perhaps “new” is the wrong word for the reimagined versions of the outdoor lifestyle brand’s latest capsule. The Throwback ’80s women’s swimwear collection is based on the company’s actual designs from the 1980s. The suits were originally made of neoprene, but are now made with “Smush Smush technology.” Smush Smush is the cute name of a breathable, stretchy, quick-dry fabric that’s more comfortable and “now” than neoprene.
With style names inspired by ’80s tunes like “You Spin Me,” “Call Me,” and “Time After Time,” it’s clear that Body Glove is having fun with nostalgia!
So totally rad.
Whether we’re shredding the waves or sunning our buns, we’ve got mad love for the Glove!
Looks include halter-style bikini tops that won’t wash away with the waves, and zip-front one-pieces with wetsuit detailing. There are also skimpier suits with strappy details and fun prints!
Weird tan lines? No problem.
A floral print worthy of a Golden Girl.
The bustier vibe is so Madonna!
Hello, Baywatch babe!
Living for the high-cut bottoms.
Just a tiny bit jealous of this lookbook shoot location.
Founded 63 years ago, the watersports and outdoor lifestyle brand is still at the top of the adventure apparel game. Body Glove also has ’80s-inspired collections for the dudes and wetsuits for both men and women. There are also accessories like towels and sunglasses. Tubular!
The Body Glove Throwback ’80s women’s collection is currently in stock and is available throughout spring and summer!
