Shia LaBeouf confirms to Ellen that wedding to Mia Goth was real, but ~this~ wasn’t supposed to happen

It’s safe to say that Shia LaBeouf is one of the most interesting people in Hollywood today, and pretty much always has been. While we loved him in the beloved Disney Channel original series Even Stevens, we’re continually impressed with his commitment to acting, performance art, and thirst for adventure. Seriously, have you heard about his hitch-hiking road trip around the U.S.? So cool!

And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that the American Honey actor recently married longtime girlfriend Mia Goth in a Las Vegas ceremony that was LIVE-STREAMED for the world to see. And because Shia is known for doing a lot of these “out-there” performance pieces, a lot of people thought the whole thing was fake. While the wedding was in fact real, Shia explains that the only glitch on the couple’s big day was that it actually wasn’t supposed to be live-streamed.

"The plan was for it to be a private deal, and part of the package, the King Tut package, you get a live stream for free — part of the deal. And I said, 'You know, we don't really need that, as a matter of fact. We'll just take our private tape. We got our moms there, and they said no problem."

Unfortunately for the pair, someone “accidentally hit the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ,” which is how it go out for the world to see.

We have to say, that’s really not cool on the wedding chapel’s part — if they wanted it to be private, it should’ve been private!

Despite the unfortunate live-stream event, we do have to congratulate the happy couple, so, CONGRATS YOU GUYS!
