Though she couldn’t attend the Women’s March, Shay Mitchell sent a message all the way from Africa because it’s just that important
In case you missed it, Pretty Little Liars fave Shay Mitchell is currently in Rwanda. As a result, she wasn’t able to make the Women’s March. Still, she wanted to make sure we know that she 100% would have been there if only, well, she wasn’t so far away! To feel connected to the march, Shay Mitchell sent a message all the way from Africa, and we can relate. We totally dig what she had to say.
From the amazing America Ferrera to the absolutely brilliant Janet Mock, our faves have shared how thrilled they are with the success of the marches. On Instagram, Shay Mitchell opened up about her own concerns for the future and shared how proud she was of the hundreds of thousands of people who marched in solidarity. Us too!
In an Instagram post, Shay wrote,
"There are moments and milestones in every movement, and when we get there, I feel as though this will be a day to remember. I've been in an instagram hole, which is pretty standard lol, but this time around i'm overwhelmed reading all the signs, watching all of the videos and am jealous I could not be there marching."
She continued, writing,
"Thank-you to each and every person who took the time to march today, it is amazing to see so many people supporting each other all the way from Africa! 🙌🏽💃🏽👭✊🏽✊🏻✊🏼✊🏾✊🏿"
We knew we were right to love her so much! And we echo the sentiment of her important words.
