Shay Mitchell is now super blonde, and we are here for it
Shay Mitchell looks amazing pretty much every single time we see her. The Pretty Little Liars star is always stunning with her impressive style, whether she’s vacationing in Fiji (#vacationgoals), rocking an on-trend messy braid at the Teen Choice Awards, or killing it at Coachella. Now, Shay has made a MAJOR change to her hair and we’re absolutely loving it.
Yesterday, Shay shared a pic on Instagram showing off newly-blonde locks, and she looks incredible.
She captioned the photo “Double trouble. #findingoutifblondesreallydohavemorefun.” The “double trouble” is definitely a reference to how much she’s twinning with her Pretty Little Liars co-star and IRL best friend Ashley Benson. Ashley’s hair still seems to be a bit lighter than Shay’s (duh, because Ashley is naturally blonde) but you have to admit that the two friends’ ‘dos look SUPER similar in this Instagram filter, with their light hair and long, beachy waves, smizing for the camera like pros.

Shay looks great either way, obvs, but this is such a fun summer switch! Assuming it’s *real* and not a faux hair change or a strategic filter choice.
If this is just a brief, one-day look, it isn’t the first time that Shay, who naturally has an equally gorgeous dark brown mane, has experimented with temporarily lightening up her hair. Last month, Shay shared a picture while blonde, but that turned out to just be a wig, as her stylist Chris Appleton soon revealed.
Whether it’s a real change (a la Sophie Turner‘s stunning new platinum ‘do) or just a temporary blonde look (as our forever hair inspo Kylie Jenner has been known to rock), Shay looks absolutely fierce either way and is giving us ~serious~ summer hair goals.
