Shawn Mendes Moves On From Camila Cabello with New Woman, Source Says
Looks like the rumored couple are spending a lot of time together.
While fans were hoping Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter would make their red carpet debut together at the Oscars Sunday evening — and consequently, confirm the dating rumors about them are true — a source assures ET that the two are very much an item.
“Shawn and Sabrina are seeing each other. They have been hanging out a lot and trying to keep things low-key. They were at a birthday party together a couple weeks ago and were cute together,” the source told the outlet.
Fans began shipping the musically talented duo when photos of them hanging out in L.A. surfaced back in February. However, with no hand holding or PDA captured on camera, it was unclear whether the pair had struck up a close friendship or something more. At least, up until now.
On March 9, Carpenter was photographed leaving the release party for Miley Cyrus’s new album, Endless Summer Vacation, with Mendes in tow. Fast forward to four days later and we’ve got confirmation that the two are in fact “seeing each other.”
“Shawn is happy,” the source said of the singer’s new relationship.

And, in case you were wondering if those rumors about Mendes getting with his 51-year-old chiropractor were true, the source revealed: “He was never dating Dr. Jocelyn Miranda.” Believe what you will about the photos of Mendes shirtless hiking with his chiropractor, but “it has never been romantic between them.”
This is Mendes’s first relationship since his public split from singer Camila Cabello. Many thought the two were endgame. Cabello was a main character in Mendes’s intimate documentary, and they’ve collaborated on a number of projects. Most notably, the hit song “Señorita.”
Meanwhile, Carpenter will finally be able to put her Joshua Bassett–Olivia Rodrigo love triangle behind her with this blossoming romance. The trio were caught up in a toxic love fest following Rodrigo’s record-breaking album Sucker.
