“Shameless” actor Noel Fisher got married, and we’re so happy for him

There were wedding bells ringing this weekend, because Shameless actor Noel Fisher married actress Layla Alizada on Saturday.

Fisher, who plays Mickey Milkovich on the popular Showtime series, has been dating Alizada since 2005. They met when they both appeared in the TV series Godiva. The pair first saw each other in the makeup trailer, but didn’t start dating until the show’s wrap party. That night, they got to know each other better and had their first kiss. Adorable.

The two officially tied the knot in front of 60 of their closest family and friends.

Fisher wore a Kenneth Cole suit, while Alizada rocked a dress by Morilee.

“We always wanted a wedding that was small and intimate. It was a magical day and even more special having so much of it put together with the help of our loved ones, Fisher and Alizada told People.

Shameless fans are happy to see Fisher find happiness, after his character Mickey Milkovich returned last season for a two-episode arc. Milkovich, who was incarcerated for attempted to murder, made a return to Chicago to see his former boyfriend Ian Gallagher in a powerful reunion.

If you’re not caught up yet, we’ll just say it was a particularly heartbreaking moment and leave it at that.

Unlike Ian and Mickey, Noel and Layla were surrounded by happiness as they celebrated. Their guests dined on Mediterranean food and sipped white wine at the reception. Sounds like a truly lovely evening.
