Shailene Woodley is taking her protest to Instagram, and we’re all heart eyes and pride
If you’ve been paying attention to the news, you probably know that Shailene Woodley recently got arrested for protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. Woodley was arrested alongside hundreds of others, which generated a lot of attention to the #NoDAPL protests. But getting arrested hasn’t stopped her from continuing to express her deep belief that what happened, and what continues to happen, isn’t okay. And here’s what she has to say now.
In a series of posts to Instagram, Shailene Woodley got real about what’s happening in Standing Rock.

In the final post in the series, she elaborated, saying,
"snipers at standing rock right now. a dear friend just told me the police did a "flash bang" (like a sound bomb or concussion grenade) and it knocked the air out of his lungs. he blacked out, then passed out until two people nearby shook him back awake. this is serious."

She’s seriously such a star. We’re so relieved to see people continuing to raise awareness of this issue. We can’t afford to ignore it.
