A sex worker raised $700k for Australia this weekend by selling her nudes

There doesn’t yet seem to be an end in sight for the raging Australian bushfires. The fires have claimed 24 human lives as of January 5th, 6.3 million hectares (which is equal to about 15.6 million acres) of forests, bush, and parks have been destroyed, and an estimated half-billion animals have been impacted. The people of the continent need all the help they can get. That’s exactly why one sex worker is selling her nudes to benefit the rescue effort—and honestly, she’s doing an incredible thing.

"I’m sending nudes to every person who donates at least $10 to any one of these fundraisers for the wildfires in Australia," Kaylen Ward, who goes by The Naked Philanthropist on Twitter, tweeted on January 3rd. "Every $10 you donate = one nude picture from me to your DM. You must send me confirmation that you donated."

And it turns out that the saying “sex sells” is absolutely true. As of January 5th, Ward raised an estimated $700,000 to support those fighting the bushfires.

Because she’s in the controversial sex industry, Ward has been dealing with haters and naysayers throughout her campaign. However, we have nothing but love for the woman who is raising hundreds of thousands of dollars(!) simply by sending nudes to those who donate.

In our opinion, she’s not only a philanthropist, but she’s a genius, too.

And we’re not the only ones who think so.

Considering she’s only a few days into the campaign, we have a feeling Ward will hit $1 million in no time. Check out her account and donate if you’d like to help her cause.

Or, if nudes aren’t your thing, you can simply donate to any of the organizations Ward listed and refrain from sending her proof.

These orgs include the Australian Red Cross, WIRES wildlife rescue, the Salvation Army Australia, and/or several other organizations helping to fight back.

We’re anxious to see just how far Ward’s fundraiser will go. Australia (and the rest of the world) thanks you.
