Seth Rogen canceled his radio appearance because SiriusXM supports garbage human Steve Bannon

In a very public announcement, Seth Rogen has canceled a leg of his press tour with SiriusXM. This comes after the radio company invited former White House chief strategist and white nationalist Steve Bannon to host his own radio show.

In a tweet, The Disaster Artist producer wrote, “I was supposed to do a press tour on @SiriusXM on Tuesday, but I’m no longer doing it because I can’t bring myself to appear on the same service that has decided to support Steve Bannon.” The radio service has outwardly remained neutral to politics, hosting shows from liberal networks like MSNBC to conservative networks like Fox News. But seeing as Bannon is known for his dangerously nationalist views and his to Breitbart, the service seems to be making a statement that they support those views as well.

“Apologies to the shows I had to cancel,” Rogen continued. “And fuck Steve Bannon.”

As of publication, the tweet has garnered high praise with 42,000 retweets and 243,000 likes.

SiriusXM responded to Rogen’s cancellation with an official statement that reads:

"Since its inception, SiriusXM has promised to deliver a diversity of opinions and viewpoints, from conservative to progressive to everything in between. SiriusXM takes no political position of our own across our more than 175 channels, but we are here to provide an open forum no matter where listeners stand on the political spectrum. Free speech is vitally important. We ardently believe that by allowing a virtually unlimited platform of viewpoints, we are doing our best to uphold that core value."

Every day, more celebrities are standing up for what they know to be a defining moment in our country’s history. We thank those who are speaking out and acting against the damaging and dangerous views of those in power. Way to go, Seth.
