Set your reminders! Chris Evans is set to read a bedtime story, and be still our beating heart
We’ve already got our calendar reminders and phone alarms set, because it’s just been announced that Captain America himself, Chris Evans, is set to read a bedtime story, and BE STILL OUR BEATING HEARTS.
Over the past few years, British children’s TV channel CBeebies has been doing certain parents a diligent service by getting some of the hottest leading men in Hollywood to record bedtime stories. Yet it was brooding actor Tom Hardy who captured the hearts of the world. The British actor has appeared three times to read a bedtime story, and it’s safe to say that people have loved it.

Now another huge star is going to make us swoon by reading a bedtime story: Captain America star Chris Evans.
Evans is scheduled to read the fitting children’s story Even Superheroes Have Bad Days, which was written by Shelly Becker and Eda Kaban. According to a press release by the BBC, the story helps little ones when they might be feeling overwhelmed, and helps them figure out how to channel their energy. Tbh, it actually sounds pretty relatable.
Speaking about his upcoming bedtime story gig, Evans said:
"I'm honoured to be the next guest on CBeebies Bedtime Stories which is such a special show. I hope families have as much fun watching as I had reading!
So far reading bedtime stories, we’ve had the likes of James McAvoy, Isla Fisher, Damian Lewis, David Tennant, Rosamund Pike, and even David Hasselhoff!
Meanwhile, Evans recently revealed that his contract to play Captain America is up. The actor shared that he was essentially done playing the iconic Marvel character, noting that the training for the role was taking a toll on his body. In fact, the actor is diversifying his career, and is heading to Broadway (although that isn’t until 2018)!
In the foreseeable future, however, Evans’ bedtime story will air on May 10th on CBeebies in the U.K. (the clips usually find their way online, too). We can’t wait!
