Set Your DVRs: ‘Playing House’ is About to be Your New Favorite Show
By now, you’ve probably gotten a feel for our excitement around the premiere of Playing House (premiering TONIGHT (Tuesday, April 29th) at 10/9c on USA Network). Seriously though, if you have a best friend and/or enjoy laughing, you will LOVE this show. Life is going to throw several heaping piles of emotional garbage your way, right? And there will be times when everything is just the worst. How do you deal? Usually the combination of leaning on your bestie and having a few good laughs will ease your stress significantly. That’s what Playing House is all about.
In this new series, childhood best friends Maggie Caruso (Lennon Parham, Best Friends Forever) and Emma Crawford (Jessica St. Clair, Best Friends Forever) have shared countless adventures growing up together in the charming town of Pinebrook, CT. Now, Maggie and Emma are in store for one of their biggest adventures — raising a baby.
Friends and family will overstep their boundaries to try to help. Maggie and Emma will get into all sorts of shenanigans in an attempt to master motherhood and be there for each other. Hilarity will ensue, of course. But I think this show represents a familial situation we haven’t seen enough of. Families are formed in all sorts of ways these days. There is no specific gender formula to creating a healthy environment for a child. And when you find yourself raising a child on your own, it’s pretty amazing when the people who love you step up and lend a hand. What matters most is the bond of unconditional love. That love is certainly felt between Emma and Maggie, and we as viewers will absolutely feel it too. You’ll also LOL until your stomach hurts because the show is seriously that funny.
Tune in to Playing House (TONIGHT!) Tuesday, April 29th at 10/9c on USA Network and set your DVRs so you can relive the hilarity over and over until the next episode airs!
