Stop what you’re doing and come see Serena Williams’ stunning wedding band
When Alexis Ohanian Sr. proposed to Serena Williams last December, he gave her a giant rock that must have set the record for the largest engagement ring in the history of celebrity engagements. The couple wed last week and Williams added an equally eye-catching wedding band to her already stellar engagement ring.
Williams shared her new bling in a sneaky way. She posted a photo to her infant daughter’s Instagram page, yes her child already has an IG account (2017 y’all), and in the photo, Williams’ brand new hardware makes a cameo.
Baby Alexis is so adorable that we didn’t even notice the ring at first. In the photo, Alexis Jr. lays on a leopard print blanket wearing a leopard print dress with the caption, “Daddy knows how much I love leopard print.” It took us a minute to drift over to the magnificent ring(s) resting on Williams’ hand. Together the engagement ring and the wedding band take up the entire space below her knuckle!
After gazing at the photos from her recent wedding, it’s clear that the theme of Williams life is clearly “go big or go home.” Both Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian attended her wedding, the theme was Beauty and the Beast, and she had three wedding gowns!
