Serena Williams has graced the Met Gala with her (very pregnant) presence

It feels like it was just yesterday that Serena Williams announced her pregnancy. (To be precise, it was exactly 14 days ago.) That would explain why we were not expecting her to look as far along as she does on the Met Gala red carpet.

That’s right. Serena Williams is currently at the Met Gala with her burgeoning bump. And she looks like Mother Nature in a Kelly green Atelier Versace gown, which features draping that beautifully highlights her tummy.

Complete with dangling emerald earrings and a bracelet covered in spiky jewels, Serena looks like pure Emerald City royalty.

Altogether, Serena’s look embodies the term “pregnancy glow.” And we can certainly understand why.

“My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace," Serena wrote in a note to her child. "I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today."

We have a feeling Serena will be the best mom. And we cannot wait to meet her baby!
