Serena Williams sampled dog food off a “doggy menu” and it did not end well

Has your dog’s food ever looked kind of delicious? The answer is no, but that didn’t stop Serena Williams from giving it a taste after she ordered from the what appears to be the Rome Cavalieri‘s “doggy menu.” Her pup, Chip, was with the tennis superstar as she traveled for the Italian Open quarters. Unfortunately, his delicious meal didn’t sit so well in his mama’s stomach, which we know because she documented the entire saga on Snapchat on Wednesday.

Admittedly, the choices on the dog menu do sound a lot like human food. Salmon and Rice? Beef and Chicken with Vegetables? They certainly cost the same amount as human food, going for as much as 18 Euro.

“On the doggy menu it has soup, and all this other good stuff, look at that. So today I’m like, ‘I might want to taste this food,’” Serena explained in her Snap Story. “So I ordered him the salmon and rice, because I thought, ‘I eat salmon.’”

“Before you judge me, look at it,” she said, referring to the picture above. “That’s the salmon and rice. It’s kind of mixed together, right? I thought, ‘What the heck, I’m going to try a piece. It looks good.’ So I ate a spoonful. Don’t judge me! I ate a spoonful!”

That turned out to be a big mistake. Within two hours, Serena was running to her bathroom, and things still hadn’t cleared up by the end of her story.

“I mean, it did taste weird, I force-swallowed it,” she admitted. “It tasted a little bit like a house cleaner kind of thing. I don’t know what they put in this dog food, but Chip liked it and it looked good.”

We’re not too worried that anyone else is going to try to sneak a taste of their dog’s food, but just in case, Serena left a note on the menu.

“If you are a human — DO NOT EAT,” she writes. “It makes you SH*T!!”
