‘Sense8’ looks absolutely terrifying, but we’ll be binging it all June

What happens when eight strangers are connected, mentally and emotionally? The weekend of June 5th, we’re going to be holed up in our dark rooms finding out.

Sense8, the trippy new show coming to Netflix this summer, is about eight strangers from across the globe who become mentally linked and must fight off those who are hunting them. Sounds just strange and spooky enough to be totally addictive.

As Deadline explained about the premise: “They cannot only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other’s deepest secrets.” They must use these connections to figure who is hunting them and why. Intense and awesome? Intense and awesome.

This sounds like a mind-blowing, mystery driven sci-fi show for a post-Lost world. Created by the Wachowski siblings (you know, from a little film franchise called The Matrix!) in their television debut and J. Michael Straczynski of a tiny sci-fi show called Babylon 5, the show looks primed to be Netflix latest crazy blockbuster.

As for the cast, is that Daryl Hannah we see? Yes, yes it is. Also Doona Bae who you’ll recognize from another Wachowski siblings project, Cloud Atlas.
