Selma Blair will play one badddd stepmother in the “Heathers” reboot
Remember how good — no, GREAT — Selma Blair was at playing the scheming, conniving Vivian Kensington in Legally Blonde? (Honestly, how could you forget?!) Well, she’s about to return to her wicked ways in the upcoming Heathers TV series reboot — only this time, she’ll definitely be rocking a lot fewer sweater vests.
Blair announced via Instagram that she’ll play Jade, the greedy stepmother of the series’ Heather Duke, who is patiently waiting for her wealthy, 82-year-old husband to die.
Here’s a sneak peak of the actress looking eveeeeery inch the bad, bad stepmother.

If merging your favorite ’90s star with your favorite ’80s movie is enough to make you feel all kinds of giddiness — there’s more.
The story will still center on two high schoolers who set out to kill the mean, popular clique only THIS time, it’s set in 2017, and the outcasts are now at the top of the food chain. It’s also going to be an anthology show, so each season is going to follow a new set of characters.
We are already so into this new vision.
“Our take on Heathers is a cinematic, surprising, and twisted comedy that gives a wonderful nod to the film while also creating something entirely its own, Keith Cox, president of development for TV Land, said. “We’re really passionate about this show and the satirical storytelling its provocative characters allow.
Die-hard fans of the original Heathers, rest assured that the update isn’t totally different.
That’s because Shannen Doherty — you know, one of the film’s OG Heathers — will be a part of the project.
No word yet as to who she’ll play, but TV Land told Variety that she’ll be a “pivotal, unnamed character.”
We cannot wait to reunite with one of our favorite mean girls (and meet a whole lot more!) this fall.
