We always love when celebrities do “normal people” things, especially when it comes to date night. So needless to say, our hearts glowed bright when we heard that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd visited a comedy club on Friday night, proving that even the biggest superstars just want to sit back and laugh sometimes.
The couple, who started dating earlier this year, usually keeps their relationship pretty private, with Selena opening up about dating The Weeknd from time to time in interviews and the occasional adorable Instagram post. But it seemed like this past weekend they just wanted to go out and do their thing like any regular couple.
The pair was spotted on Friday, August 11th enjoying a comedy show at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, where they sat in balcony-level seats in the club’s upper mezzanine level, according to UsMagazine.com.

We can’t even imagine what it would feel like to date under the pressure of a magnifying glass (because let’s be real, dating is hard enough as it is). So we love that these two make time for this kind of thing. As cliché as it sounds, it reminds us that celebs really are just like us.
