Selena Gomez just found the perfect summer wedding guest outfit, and you’ll want to take notes
Nailing down the perfect wedding guest ensemble is a task much easier said than done. Unless you’re Selena Gomez, that is. The 24-year-old starlet gave the masses a lesson in perfect wedding guest attire, and you’d best believe we’re wiping out our pens and taking notes. Because this style is just too good to forget!
While attending the wedding of her Wizards of Waverly Place big bro Justin, aka David Henrie, Selena shied away from a pastel color palette and instead went for a dreamy fall hue: a punchy berry shade. The textured knit maxi, hailing from Emila Wickstead’s fall 2017 collection, was an effortless blend of a ladylike silhouette with a few edgy touches.

Look closely, and you’ll see the turtleneck dress is offset by sultry shoulder and back cutouts, essentially adding a pop of personality to the classic number. Selena completed the look with a pair of nude Jimmy Choo pumps, Jennifer Fischer hoops, and a pretty braided updo.
Selena’s sharp sartorial senses always point her in the right direction, and with a little help from celebrity stylist Chris Classen, this look is no doubt one of her best off-red-carpet ensembles to date. And we totally love the sophisticated and polished nature of this look coupled with the unexpected color choice. (It’s not exactly a spring color, after all!)
But like all things Selena, this wedding guest ensemble was perfectly refined and simply unforgettable.
Now, Wizards of Waverly Place fans will want to grab a tissue, because the nostalgia from Selena’s sweet Instagram post is most certainly cause for a few happy tears. The entire Russo family reunited for Henrie’s Los Angeles nuptials over the weekend, and we ~cannot~ get over how grown up all the kiddos are. Plus, we’re just dayum delighted to see all the Russo’s have kept close over the years since the Disney show ended.
