On Wednesday, Gomez posted the first trailer for her “passion project,” 13 Reasons Why and it looks very intense.
We’ve been kept in the dark about this TV series, which the 24-year-old singer is producing, but now the cat is out of the bag and the beginning of Hannah’s life (and death) story is being told.
The trailer introduces us to the lead character, who is dead. No, it’s not a zombie series, like the upcoming Drew Barrymore show, The Santa Clarita Diet. This series is about Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), a girl who died, and what happened to her.
The series is based on the best-selling book series by Jay Asher and will follow in its footsteps to uncover the truth and lies behind a student’s decision to take her own life…Hannah’s decision.
Throughout the trailer you see a bunch of different high school students against their lockers.
Each one is responsible for part of Hannah’s death, but why?
What did they do to influence her catastrophic decision?
As you continue to watch you hear the girl’s voice and discover that the show will be about connecting the dots. Finding out what exactly went down, and making everyone involved know how Hannah felt before she ended her own life.
To say it’s going to be intense is an understatement.
