BFFs Selena Gomez and Julia Michaels got matching tattoos, and suddenly we’re sobbing
If there’s one idea we’re always behind, it’s getting matching tattoos with your best friend. After all, as the always-wise Spice Girls once sang, “Make it last forever, friendship never ends.” And what better way to commemorate that than by getting matching ink with your bestie?
That’s why we love that Julia Michaels and Selena Gomez got matching tats after they took the stage together in Los Angeles on Monday, November 11th, documenting the entire process on Instagram. Tattoo artists London Reese and Brad Reis gave the pals their tats, two black arrows on their wrists that point directly at each other’s.
We’re not crying, you’re crying. We’re grabbing the tissues and calling up *our* BFFs now.
The duo and their tattoo artists shared videos and pictures from the ink session, with Gomez writing of her new tattoo, “It’s tatted..my arrow points to you forever.” Check out the photos Selena Gomez shared on her Instagram Stories documenting the process.
Julia Michaels responded in kind. She re-grammed the photo, writing, “Always to you baby, love you” and tagging her longtime pal and collaborator.
And, of course, a close-up shot of the end result.
Their tattoo artists shared some shots on their own feeds, too, and it seems like everyone involved had a blast.
The matching tattoos came after Michaels performed her show, with Gomez joining her on stage for the first live performance of their new single, “Anxiety,” which discusses their experiences dealing with mental health issues.
Michaels shared a video to YouTube of the pair performing the song together. We truly can’t think of a better way to celebrate their friendship and this incredible performance than with coordinating ink.
We love this pair, and we’re suddenly inspired to call our own besties and get matching arrow tattoos. It’s such a sweet sentiment and proclamation of love that we can’t help but tear up.
