Selena Gomez has been loving this ’80s-inspired look lately, and we think she’s werrrking it
Just when we thought it wasn’t possible to love Selena Gomez’s fashion sense any more than we do already, the “Good For You” songbird has been spotted stepping out in an ’80s-inspired look lately that has us all singing her praises!
Promoting her new soon-to-be smash hit new single, “Bad Liar,” in Los Angeles this week, Selena was snapped sporting a crisp, white sleeveless shirt with a plunging neckline, topped off with one of the boldest shoulders we’ve seen since we binge-watched our mom’s collection of Dynasty DVDs.
The star paired the blouse with high-waisted capri pants accented with white stitching detail and white stilettos with a toe so pointy, she could kick (and hit) a mosquito mid-flight. Accessorized with a waist-cinching wrap belt complete with gold-hoop ornament, Selena’s head-to-toe haute couture (courtesy of French fashion house Jacquemus) sizzles, creating a classic hourglass silhouette that we’re sure has her boyfriend, The Weeknd, like, whoa.
But this isn’t the first time Selena has played with proportion a la Joan Collins circa 1985. She was seen out in New York City last week in a form-fitting, navy blue wrap dress with a big, beautiful shoulders. Hello, Linda Evans!
All Selena needs is some mile-high hair and an armful of gold bangle bracelets and her ’80s look will be complete!
Now, if only Selena would rock some red Reebok high-tops with a matching scrunchie and an airbrushed T-shirt and denim miniskirt, that would be rad. What? Just us? *sigh*
