Selena Gomez is Reportedly Dating Andrew “Drew” Taggart of The Chainsmokers
Sources share that she and Taggart are spending quality time together, after she shuts down body shamers via social media.
Selena Gomez is continuing her relationship preference trend by dating another fellow musician — this time, Andrew “Drew” Taggart, who makes up one half of The Chainsmokers. The news of their coupling up is still fresh, and seems to provide a bit of relief from the body shaming critics she’s had to deal with since her 2023 Golden Globes appearance one week ago.
After emerging back on social media after a brief hiatus, an exclusive source revealed to Us Weekly that the The Only Murders in the Building star and her new beau are keeping things “very casual and low-key,” with old-school activities like bowling and movie dates, and that they aren’t trying to keep their budding relationship a big secret.

Previously, Gomez has been linked to The Weeknd, Nick Jonas, and most famously, Justin Bieber. Taggart was reportedly dating Eve Jobs, the youngest daughter of Apple revolutionary Steve Jobs, as little as four months ago, but it seems according to Us Weekly that it’s over enough for Gomez and the EDM musician to be more exclusive.
The news comes less than a week after Taggert and his (other) other half, Alex Pall, revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast that they have engaged in threesomes together and that they’ve definitely hooked up with fans while on tour.
“It was also the days when we used to have to share hotel rooms,” Pall explained during the interview. “It’s almost by force that we were forced into these scenarios.”
Likely story, Pall, though we (jokingly) wonder if Gomez’s “throuple” comment from her holiday trip with newlywed buddies Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz was a subtle hint at why she was drawn to Taggert.

“I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” she explained during an Instagram Live on Jan. 10, in the same outfit she wore on the red carpet that garnered so much unnecessary attention from haters in her comments and the media.

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum has battled weight fluctuations and body criticism her entire life, some of which are due to her health concerns such as lupus. She addressed these issues in her 2022 documentary, My Mind and Me.
“The things I was watching from 2016, 2017, 2018 — I can’t believe I was that girl,” she admits in an exclusive interview about the film for Vulture. “When I watched, for example, the first part of the film where I discuss my body… I don’t want to cry now, but I was completely upset with myself.”
Not that Selena needed to justify anything about her body or fashion choices, but her informal statements seem to have mellowed some folks out. It didn’t keep her from creating her own Golden Globes after party at a dive bar with some friends, where she drank beer and shot pool still dressed in her gown.
