Selena Gomez’s first Coach ad campaign is here, and we’re emptying our wallets now

True renaissance woman Selena Gomez is the current face of Coach, and we can’t think of a better pick. In photos from the new campaign, shot by fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the singer, actress, and 13 Reasons Why executive producer channels her inner badass.

"Coach was actually one of my first designer purchases," she told PeopleStyle of her existing love for the brand. "Where I'm from in Texas, Coach was the must-have brand. I remember saving up with my cousin, Priscilla, to get matching wallets."

The 30-second ad spot (“The Coach SWAGGER”) shows Selena trying on different pieces as she gets ready to go out.

She opts for an edgy jacket at one point, rocking flared jeans with multicolored patches that take us back to both the 1970s and 1997.

"Selena is a rebel and a romantic, a dreamer and a doer who boldly charts her own course," Coach's creative director, Stuart Vevers, tells PeopleStyle. "To me, she speaks to a generation; she connects."

Adds Meisel, “Inviting Selena Gomez to join the Coach family takes it to another level.”

One look at these Selena Gomez Coach ad photos has us nodding vehemently in agreement.

Gomez’s own fashion preferences actually don’t stray too far from what she’s wearing in the campaign. As she tells PeopleStyle, her look “has definitely evolved over the years but remaining classic at the same time.”

"As far as my daily look it depends on my mood that day," she adds. "I love a great pair of jeans and boots or sometimes I want to have a bit more fun with my look."

Good news for those of us who can’t wait to get our hands on some of her duds: The Coach ID Swagger bag and Embroidered Prairie Dog Rose Dress are both available now, retailing from $247.50 to $495 and $795, respectively.
