Selena Gomez is already freaking out by what happens in Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why”

Netflix series 13 Reasons Why took the internet by storm when it premiered back in March. Whether you were a critic or a fan, everyone was talking about and watching this show. With all the attention the hit series had garnered, it was almost easy to miss a real driving force behind the show: Selena Gomez. She executive produced the show, and now Selena Gomez is talking about 13 Reasons Why, season 2.

Furthermore, not only did she executive produce the show, but she also contributed two songs to the series. So as much as she was one of the creators of the series, she’s also a total fan.

And like any fan, she’s super psyched for the second season.

In a recent interview with Seattle radio station Movin’ 92.5, Selena revealed some tidbits about the second season. What is coming next has her incredibly pumped.

She said this about the first rush of praise the series got:

"I'm so excited for season 2. I think it's going to be so exciting because you know, I didn't expect the first to be as loud, if you will? I didn't expect it to have the reaction that it did. It was amazing, and it was complicated, and there was a lot of stuff that came with it, and I understood what that meant."

She also talked about being able to sit in the writer’s room while they worked on the second season. Like many fans have been speculating, Selena confirms that they will be trying to focus on Hannah’s classmates and their reactions to her passing.

She said this about the experience:

"I think for season 2, we elaborate more on some of those questions and the stories and the resolution, if you will, of what some of these kids have gone through so — and are going through. I was in the writers' room the other day, and they're working so hard, and it's going to come together. I was sitting there at the table, like, 'Wait, what happened?!' Almost like freaking out."
