There was a secret Taylor Swift ~appearance~ at this week’s Apple conference
At the WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) on Monday, Apple introduced us to a ton of upcoming new features and enhancements that will come along with iOS 10. For starters, they’re making some major changes to iMessage, and opening up Siri to third-party developers. Oh, and you’ll finally be able to delete those pesky stock iOS apps that come standard on your iPhone. You know, the ones that you’ve hidden in a folder.
This year’s Keynote was strictly business as usual, but Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior VP of Software Engineering, managed to slip a joke into the presentation. One that included our homegirl and theirs, Taylor Swift.
When Federighi was demonstrating how to turn your phone’s lock screen into a functional second screen, we got a glimpse at his notifications.
There was a missed call from his mother, a Clash of Clans alert, a Wallet notification, and a Facebook friend request from—you guessed it—Tay.
And with one swipe, Federighi cleared it away!
Yes, he ignored Taylor Swift’s FRIEND REQUEST! We would never, Taylor!
Here’s a closeup of the funny moment. false
After the event, Federighi hilariously addressed the reference with a Taylor Swift pun. false
Obviously, the alerts were made up to illustrate the functionality of the new second lock screen feature, but still, we can’t help but lol. Watch out, Craig. We have a feeling you’ll be receiving a shoutout on Taylor’s next album.
